Building Resilience - Ages 8-13. Help your child learn how to conquer adversity at Bay Creek Farm! Our "Building Resilience' course teaches evidence-based psychoeducational concepts while utilizing hands-on learning with farm animals and exploring nature/horticulture. We will cover topics like emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and how to build healthy habits. Class is 10 weeks long. We will meet once weekly for 2 hours (off the week of the 4th of July.) Programming is outdoors, groups will run rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for weather, closed-toed shoes are mandatory. Location: Bay Creek Farm, 2348 Samaria Rd., Temperance, MI. Sensory Seekers Play Group - Ages 2-7 with an adult caregiver Gain helpful tools for our family while giving your child exposure to nature and farm animals in a safe and judgment-free setting. This group is intended for children on the Autism Spectrum who may have difficulty engaging in highly structured settings. We will discuss evidence-based tools, coping strategies, resources, and learn ways to improve overall health. We will encourage participation as is appropriate for each child individually. Please bring questions and feel free to bring any assistive/helpful items your child needs. Children and their caregivers are free to roam the farm when a break is needed. There is a porta potty and small playground on premises. Class is 10 weeks long, one hour a week at Bay Creek Farm, 2348 Samaria Rd., Temperance, MI.
