Summer ParksThe Summer Parks Program is back with a twist. The program will continue to be filled with games, crafts and sports activities and field trips to area fun spots. The program will be available from June 16 - August 15, Monday - Friday from 10 am - 3 pm for children 5-12 years of age. Home base this summer will be the Douglas Road Elementary 6876 Douglas Rd., Temperance, MI) The program will be supervised by adult and student staff to provide exciting fun-filled activities in a safe and well-supervised atmosphere. Outdoor activities will be emphasized and children are welcome to come and go (with parental permission) throughout the day, participating in activities according to their interests. Parents will be required to sign their children out when leaving anytime earlier than 3:00 pm. Please dress your child for an active day of play and crafts - casual clothes and tennis shoes are recommended. T-shirts will be available for purchase and worn for field trips. Weekly special event snacks and lunch costs may also be added with notice. Children should bring their own lunch unless otherwise notified. Note: There is a $60 discount automatically applied when registering 2 or more children in the same household. T-BallThe purpose of this T-ball League is to teach basic baseball and softball skills and give children an opportunity to enjoy playing organized sports. Coaches will pitch; if after 5 pitches a player has failed to hit the ball, a tee will used for the batter. Softer balls are used in this league. In order to give all players maximum participation, league rules require that every player play the entire game and bat every inning.Category
